Filing for FAFSA

Show Notes

It’s that time of year again. Time to fill out that long form with the funny name: FAFSA. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is often the starting point for millions of students in their quest to pay for college. It’s convenient to fill out the FAFSA online these days, but a little organization will make the job go much faster. On this edition of MoneyWise, Rob West and Steve Moore have a few tips to help you this year.

Then, they answer your questions at (800) 525-7000 and about the following:

  • Should you tithe from your pension?
  • If you just turned 62 and took early retirement, and have a small pension and a small 401(k) should you apply for Social Security when at age 63?
  • How do you know how much money you need for health care in your retirement years?
  • What questions should you ask potential financial advisors?
